- In a pot, put in water, fish sauce, whole pepper corns, onion, beef cubes and beef. Let it boil. Remove the lard. After it boils, you can turn the heat to low. Simmer until beef is tender.
- Put in the potatoes and squash. Cover for 5mins.
- Put in the leafy vegetables. Cook for another minute. Serve.

Add green beans and cook until half-cooked. Nilagang Baka is a Filipino beef soup cooked until the meat becomes really tender and with vegetables like potatoes, beans, and cabbage that makes this simple soup healthy and flavorful.
